Company History

Gary West established Westlift Crane Hire when he purchased his first crane in Stawell back in 1978. This was a nine ton cap, LS20. Westlift’s crane fleet has grown substantially from these humble beginnings and now boasts a substantial Crane Hire Fleet from 12 tons to 100 tons and more. Today the business is called West Cranes & Access Hire, encompassing the greater range of equipment available, such as elevated work platforms (EWP’s), Scissor Lift Hire, Tilt Tray Hire and Container Hire/Sale.

The Company is and has been exceptionally proud to have remained local and employ local residents as the region and closer community are extremely important. West Crane and Access Hire have been and will continue to be a strong supporter of the wider community through various functions/events and sporting teams throughout the region via sponsorship and supplying the necessary hire equipment, EWP’s and Scissor Lift hire are popular amongst Functions/Events and various sporting events.

Based in Stawell, Western Victoria, West Cranes & Access Hire continues its reputation as one of the largest hire Company’s to service Western Victoria for nearly 50 years.
